Claverton Cloches – Victorian Octagonal Cloche The Victorian Style Octagonal Cloche follows a classic design and is perfect for protecting your plants, fruit & veg. etc. from cool conditions, whilst also offering protection from pests. It creates a warm microclimate and by doing so enables an extended growing season, thus allowing sustainable growth that might otherwise not be possible. These cloches feature a removable lid which is ideal for ventilation when needed, simply twist/angle the lid on top of the base or remove for full ventilation. Inspired by Victorian design from the late 1800s, each cloche is handcrafted to last a lifetime. Cast from sturdy iron, the frames are galvanised which avoids rust and chipping, then each one is finished with in a traditional off white colour paint. Using traditional/heritage methods the hand-cut horticultural glass is carefully assembled with putty into the cloch resulting in the classic look and feel, complimented by the ergonomic handle and brass plaque detail. all within a workshop based in Bath UK.
